cleay800_404380eThe Marlins have sent Clay Hensley to the 15 day disabled list with a left rib contusion.  Hensley hurt himself last Friday in Cincinnati after slipping and falling on stairs in the team's hotel.  Hensley has been trying to pitch through the injury, but he really has not been himself.  Since hurting himself Hensley has made four appearances and has pitched three innings giving up three walks, a solo home run, with only one strike out and a blown save.

Hensley will be replaced in the bullpen by Burke Badenhop who has been pitching in Triple-A New Orleans.  Badenhop was the last man cut on the Marlins 25-man  roster and has a 1-1 record with a 6.75 ERA in 11 appearances.  Last year Badenhop made 53 appearances for the Marlins with a 2-5 record with one save, eight holds, one blown save, and a 3.99 ERA.
